No Llamas please
I have noticed lately that either some fractal artists have stopped posting or that they are just taking a break. I suppose that must go for other types of art too.
The question I have is where should we 'draw' the line with regard to sharing what we know? Should we tell all and share all our tricks or should we hold back on some of our skills and only share a few secrets?
I see loads of people sharing Apophysis parameters, something I have never done as I don't keep any of mine. That way all I do has to be fresh and new and not an altered image from a few years ago. I do use scripts though but never as they are. I always have to change at least one of the transforms or add another one or two. And always change the FX if there is one included in the script. Would like a second FX at times though...
To be honest I don't even know how to post parameters. I have a lot of FE spots and am more than happy to share them, not sure how though... Well other than in a zip file on an email. However I don't keep those any more as I have thousands.
Since I have been making fractals I have made over 12,000 I think. I have no real desire to start saving them now. However if anyone wants any tips as to the effects I get in Apophysis, please ask and I will help if I can.
Hope there will not be too many more of you that become inactive. I see some wonderful fractals. There are some I just cannot get at all excited about as I have seen them hundreds of times. There are many artists who are really stretching their imaginations and skills and producing really exciting stuff, and then there are those of you who are churning out the same old stuff like myself really... Is it the program or is it us?
Suggestions to wake us all up please.
