No Llamas please
As most of you already know, my lovely/crap new toy had to back for a great many reasons.
Since then I have had a little time to think as to what to do about a sensible book reader that I can snuggle into bed with during the Winter months.
I thought seriously about upgrading my phone, however for anything suitable it would cost me £720 over 24 months. I was almost going to get an ipod... My son took me into Sheffield last Saturday and we went to the Apple shop. Well having looked at several reviews on Youtube about the ipad, I was not convinced, also the money factor was not really a road I had considered. However I held the thing, I saw what it is capable of doing, I played with it, I bought it...
It cost me just a little under £500, my ex husband had given me some money and I got a refund from the Android, so that was that.
Now I am the coolest Granma ever to my son's 3 children. They all have ipods and it was a total joy watching them each take turns playing on my ipad. No doubt all their friends know I have it, however I have still to tell my most techie grandson a 13 years old in Ireland.
The machine is an absolute joy. It has a 12 hour battery, it is simple to set up, loads of free applications and just magic to use. Already I have several hundred books installed and will not be bored when I can't sleep this Winter.
The Apple shop staff were terrific, extremely helpful and very geeky.
After the experience with the Android and it's 1 hour battery life, shutting down for 1 full day out of the 3 that I had the thing. This is my first bit of Apple kit and I love it. A total revelation to me.
We had a wonderful day at Chatsworth, visiting the gardens, which are massive. We must have walked about 4 or 5 miles round the place. There is a wonderful exhibition of sculpture there at the moment and I will post a link to all the photos I took when I have completed the slide-show.
I had a terrible journey home, the coach broke down in Leicester and there was 8 of us stuck there for about 3 hours not knowing what was happening. They had to taxi 7 of us back to Northampton and one to Cambridge. The minibus driver didn't know the way... What a journey. Got back to my town and had just missed the bus to my house, so another taxi that I had to pay for this time. I was too tired to care.
My cat is sick, she is peeing and pooing all over the place, I thought it was feline cystitis which she gets from time to time. I give her tuna with cranberry juice and it works really well, however I think she had been missing me and she is getting old. Maybe about 15 years old. Not certain as she moved in with me as a fully grown creature.
Tonight she seems to be a lot better and has not left my side. So I shall see how she is before subjecting her to the vet and medications that I know nothing about. I do however think it is age related and will not let her suffer...
Just have to wait a day or two to see how she is. She is eating really well and there has been no mistakes today... Lets hope whatever it was is settling down now.

and peace accross the planet
I do hope your Sunnee will be all right. I have had many cats and now I have two that are middle aged. But I know when my last cats died that was so terrible. I am a cat lover like you and they sleep with me and I love it.
Sunnee is much better since my ex husband went home. He was here to look after her while I had a weekend with my family. He is not as loving to Sunnee as I am. I think she missed me.
About the epad, I dont think one can use it for fractals can one, I mean maybe for looking at DA but I guess probably not for making them....is that right?
I hope your kitty it better !
