No Llamas please
I managed to get a grant for a new heating system. The installation starts tomorrow. I am dreading it, have heard it could be 2 days also that is could take over a week...
This means I will be restricted in what I can do with possibly floors up right through the house and electricity, gas and water off at different times.
It may sound like nothing much to some of you, however I have been preparing for this for the past couple of weeks, I actually applied over a year ago. An existing gas fire had to be removed in the computer room as a new radiator has to go there, the new 'combi boiler' (heats the water on demand and 5 radiators) is going into the airing cupboard which means I have had to find places for all the towels and bedding that previously had been stored in there. I bought a new bed that has drawers in the base for various things. In actual fact my old bed past it's best many years ago, so that was a necessary purchase. My tiny front hall now is stacked to the ceiling with those plastic storage crates. Some have paintings in from years ago, that had been under the old bed. They won't fit now... The rest of the crates have bedding and kitchen towels. I cleared a shelf in my bedroom for bathroom towels and spare pillow cases. The top of my wardrobe space now has pillows and blankets...
Anyway I am really wondering if it is all going to be worth it. I may not have time to get to my computers at all for a few days. Hope I can still access my ipad for emails, that is if and when the router/modem is plugged in... Shucks...
I had thought I would spend some of the time in the garden whilst all this is going on, however the forecast is wet and cold... The plastic greenhouse I bought came with 2 parts missing and the company cannot get them at all. As I don't have a car I now have to find a way to get this all back to the store. It came in a box which I donated to a stray cat to sleep in, it rained. I had to throw out the box... I phoned up and don't need the box... So the greenhouse is now in 5 plastic rubbish bags that I cannot lift to get to a taxi to return the flipping thing I don't live on a road, just a walk with no vehicular access, it's all up hill and very steep to the road and I can't do the walk 5 times without a lie down. So the greenhouse will have to wait and my wonderful organic seedlings will have to go in pots around the garden for now... I have asked for a lift, hoping it would be this weekend, however I didn't have any luck. Tomorrow the workmen will be here and there is no way they are wrecking my house with me not in it...
I will be very pleased when this week is over and I can look back on it...

They use non toxic glue to make chipboard since the 80's. Lots of people got sick.
I cured myself by using a mouthwash and gargle of oxygenating H202 (hydrogen peroxide)
The house is all sorted now, thank goodness. There is a constant layer of dust keeps settling. I am using damp cloths to wipe it away so it doesn't make me I'll again...
The workmen were really lovely, very helpful and pleasant company, they said the chipboard never made them ill however it may be the first time they have had to saw stuff as old as this...
Nice to be comfortable and warm here indoors. Still cold and wet in the UK Midlands... We need the water to fill the reservoirs as there is a drought over much of the South...
My cat is sat at my side now. She hates all the banging about. I am very tired. Been up since 5.30am... It's 6.30pm here now and I shall be in bed by 8pm I think...
Ooo wow you had a long day my dear. I hope you sleep well at night my dear especially after such long, noise, and dusty days. Take care my dear and remember to try and relaxe and it will all be over soon hopefully.
I have been putting stuff away today upstairs. I get rid of one layer of dust and another appears...
I will just do a little each day and the rest can wait...
Oh it's a sad day when one dusts and a little while later you see the dust there again. It's more madening than anything else.
Day by day is best that way you don't get over worked.
Right now I would give anything to get rid of my allergies. I love this time of the year but at the same time it's horrible. How has your weather been my dear?
Sitting here gorging on chocolates. I hardly ate anything during the upheaval. So am having an indulging time for a little while... We all suffer with allergies. My son was hospitalised as a child, his irises used to swell up and cover the pupils of his eyes. Now he can cope with all of it through sheer determination and meditation... You should try the latter:[link] Link for you Bishop... Let me know how you get on. Pharmaceutical meds are all poison. Just take what you need for your heart problems if you can manage it...
My allergies are cats and dust, I have a cat and cuddle her up close. Sometimes she can make me ill, others I do not notice. The dust from the work here this week has made me cough. I hope that goes in a day or two...

Yea I don’t like taking medications or things like that unless I absolutely have to so I just suffer with my allergies for the time being. They defiantly kicked my butt this weekend; I haven’t had much ambition to do anything all weekend. Thank you for the link my dear I’ll definitely be trying that out and I hope it works for me to I'd love to not have allergies anymore
My allergies are from pollen and dust and stuff like that, that comes with the time of the year so I will unfortunately have them again during the fall when everything gets dusty and the farmers start taking out the fields and kicking up even more dust and stuff like that but maybe meditation will help get rid of my alleriges so I wont have them in the fall... ooo that would be so nice.
I'm finaly on my last week of school for this semester so it'll be nice when it's done. You have anything interesting going on this week my dear?
