No Llamas please
Today I am reaching the giddy heights of 50mb Broadband... I have done a great deal with Virgin my ISP. For the past couple of years I knew I was entitled to more than I was getting for my money. I tried phoning, going into the Virgin media shops. Emailing them so many times. However I got a phone call a few weeks ago referring to an email of mine they had just come across and lost then found again...(?) Having talked through one of the problems, I mentioned that I feel I am entitled to a much better deal than the one I have. As a long standing customer I am seeing advertised on Facebook and elsewhere faster broadband for a lot less money. So as I had been ignored and kept waiting I am today moving up to the giddy speeds of 50mb. This is the fastest reliable speed I can get here in the UK and I will be paying a little less for it than my previous deal for 20mb. I don't watch TV, there are 2 in the house, one I use as a computer monitor, it was cheaper to buy as a full 1080 HD TV/monitor than to buy a specific monitor. The other TV is used by my grandchildren for Xbox, DVD's and Videos. The deal is for a land-line phone and the broadband, no TV.
I will let you all know how it responds in a few days... I am very excited. Watching films on-line will be a great experience. I have lived here 8 years and when I arrived all I had was a 56k modem... To think how this has advanced over those short years, what are we going to have in another 8 years?
Today they will be installing a new hub (?) and sorting out things from there on. I hope it doesn't mess up all my network too much... Took ages to set up. So if I am missing for a few days, please bear with me, I will be sorting things out at this end...
