New Youtube Video

Journal Entry: Sun May 11, 2008, 11:16 AM
BUTTERFLIES AND OTHER STUFF

OK so I said I needed a break. I do. One of the things I wanted to do was another Youtube video, another was fix my old PC... After 4 attempts at uploading the video I managed it: [link]
I cannot get the quality any better. Everything I do makes the file too long or too big, so I hope you can still manage to enjoy it...

I make the videos in Windows movie maker. It is very easy to do, but time consuming. The music has to be converted to WAV format and I try to get it the right length to fit to the film. This time was nearly impossible. I kept cutting and pasting bits of the song in and out of places. Finding the right length piece where the words fitted was a nightmare. Sorry there is a gap at the end. Originally I was using 2 pieces of music, however I had to scrap the second as the whole thing was way over big. The format has to be changed to DivX as no matter what I do I cannot get anything else to upload to Youtube I could leave it all flipping day...

So here we are 4 attempts later with a fuzzy video and an over edited sound track... Oh well one day I shall learn. I now have 8 videos on Youtube, 7 fractal ones and one I did for the BBC . They get a lot of views. All good publicity for fractal art.

I am going to try uploading to Google Videos and see if I can get better definition.

Last week my old PC went down yet again. I fixed that yesterday. I had lost all my desktop icons and start menu. I tried fixing the registry and got nowhere. However I then found a really useful site with another registry fix and it worked. If this ever happens to any of you. You can see the wallpaper but have nothing else, you can access just about everything by pressing Ctrl-Alt-Delete, then if you go to File you can select new task and direct your PC where you want to go, like emails... However the most important bit is to get Windows Explorer going again...[link]
This is the most wonderful site where I got information that really did work. I was missing the last letter of Explorer.exe. I added that in the right place, restarted from the Task manager menu and everything was back again. You can save loads of money.

If you are brave enough to go into the registry then it will be a good idea to bookmark this site. The best I have found.

Please send me any feedback on the video.

I Need a break

Journal Entry: Thu May 8, 2008, 2:37 AM
For some reason, maybe it's coming off the Effexor, I have found a need to not be so involved with dA. I will still pop in from time to time. I am going to be starting a philosophy course today and I will be the group leader. It is going to take up a lot of my time.

I used to set myself a target with dA to do 3 or 4 images a day... I need to explore ways of making some money now... As I have not sold a single thing in 3 + 1/2 years and am in a real financial struggle then I have to change direction somewhat...

I live on benefits and the bills are piling up whilst I make fractals, many I am really happy with that get no comments at all. When I check the page views I find only one person has looked... All that work for zilch...

I have to make my art work for me so I am very sorry lovely people but I will not be here all the time.

I hope you understand... Instead of it being a total pass time it is now going to be a hobby.

Thank you so much for all the wonderful support you have all given me through all my health, art and computer problems.

Love Roz X

NEARLY 2 WEEKS

Journal Entry: Tue May 6, 2008, 8:18 AM
I am beginning to feel a lot better. It has been nearly 2 weeks since I took my last 1/4 tab of the dreadful Effexor.

Last night just as I got into bed, I checked my BP and it was down further than it has been for many years, despite my extra 3 stone.

I am going out for my monthly meal (the one I do the newspaper column about) this evening and I think I am going to be OK. Tomorrow I have to go do some shopping. Last time I went out of the house was last Thursday and I was just so glad to get home due to the brain zaps and terrible dizziness.

Thanks to those of you who suggested Benedryl and Dramamine. I was already taking homeopathic travel sick pills, and started the Benedryl on Friday last week. It has really helped a great deal.

I have now started my slimming course, so it will be a salad for me tonight.

I am going to be super fit before too long...

Watch out world here I come.

Thanks again for all your messages of encouragement.

I just had a message from Gypsy. She is back home, very weak, but OK.

She asked me to let everyone know that she really appreciates all the prayers and good wishes and will answer as soon as she is able.

Effexor

Journal Entry: Mon Apr 28, 2008, 3:46 AM
I am a long term depression sufferer. I go for regular counselling. 4 years ago I was taken off Prozac, had a 2 week wash out period (when I felt fine) and put on Effexor... I have put on 3 stone in weight, suffered terrible apathy, become far too lethargic and my libido is crippled. 2 years ago I decided I would kick these monsters into touch and managed to reduce down to 75mg from 150... This took several months to do, just dropping one day at a time. I then dropped it down to 37.5, the lowest dose available from my GP. Then I went down to half a tab, then 1/4. Then 1/4 every other day, then the big one of absolutely none since last Thursday morning. I have tried several time before and never got as far as this.

I am not alone with this problem:[link]

There are petitions online to sue the drug company for not informing people of the full effects of this terrible drug. I signed about 3 years ago.

The side effects when you are taking them include all sorts of horrible things. I couldn't go out without wearing leggings under everything else due to the profuse sweating. My legs just get soaked as does my hair. Insomnia is another one, inability to concentrate. I personally don't think they have done me one jot of good. However I am aware that some people think they are fine...All I needed was someone to talk to.

The side effects coming off them make you realise just what you have been putting into your body. Never again.

I have also had cervical spondylitis for many years and could hardly move my neck. I never even take so much as a pain killer now and have managed to cure that and get right through the winter without so much as a cold.

I watched a documentary film with the Physicist Dr. Bob Beck: [link]
and changed my life for the better. This guy is my forever hero. He died in 2002. He was in his mid 80's, he fell and had a heart attack. Some say he was pushed to keep him quiet.

Coming off Effexor is the last step in my health improvement. I shall keep the counselling as I live alone and need someone to talk to. Once off this stuff I can try to lose some of this weight.

To help with the depression I downloaded :[link]
I have a 15 day trial for this and am amazed how it is helping. You can use it to help with all kinds of problems from simple relaxation to improving creativity. It has a function to help coming off addictive substances.

These are my experiences. and may not be approved of by the medical board for your country, it can often mean there is either money or power behind their reasoning.

Look a little deeper and don't accept anything that can harm you or your precious nearest and dearest.

Many of you will not agree. However that is your choice. I have made mine and am doing just fine. I would say I am 200% better than I was this time last year. I shall be another 100% when the brain zaps and the dizziness stop for good.
