Spreading lake by Rozrr Spreading lake by Rozrr
From my computer room window:

This is the lake now, I think it is about 5' above it's normal level and much closer to my house. It is still raining and has been for several weeks now. I went out yesterday for the first time in nearly 3 weeks other than a quick dash to the post box...
Yet we still have a hose pipe ban here and despite all the water we are in a drought... Unbelievable...
This lake outside my house was created as part of the flood defences for Northampton. It flows in succession into other streams and lakes until it eventually arrives at a flood overspill area.
One would imagine that they could manage to take the water from the overspill area to the reservoir to stop the drought...
Yet we will all have to pay higher sewage charges for all the water that falls on our roof tops to be taken away...
Isn't life amazing!!!
Yet another aspect of a totally crap system that just doesn't work at all, well only for the rich...

Roz I know the government everywhere practically is trying to destroy their own citizenry BUT your lake is especially beautiful now from the clean up you organized some months back. The picture is beautiful. We must find joy where we can.

Wow Roz, I can't believe how much this lake has risen. I just love the spring green in this shot though. Wishing you some sunshine.

Yes I love all the lovely greenery of Spring. A little sunshine would be a pleasant interlude. Still very wet.

I guess it has been wet most places. Still raining here as well but we really needed it. They say we won't have any sun until Sunday. :w00t:
