Derwent Water by Rozrr Derwent Water by Rozrr
This is another of my old SLR photos. Can't quite understand the old school photographers who stick to using film. Love digital photography far more.

Lovely to see real skies with no chemtrails... This would be from the early to mid 80's...

My mother and I used to go fishing in my little boat. Thanks for bringing that back to my memories.

We had so much fun fishing. We would constantly get our bait hung up in a tree limb. One time we caught and cleaned 96 sand trout. We actually got tired of catching fish.

Hope you ate them all. I am a vegetarian and am fine with people catching fish for their food but not for sport at all... Sorry Rose. I have two mad keen carnivorous brothers who fish whenever they get the chance. I was forced to look at all the photos yesterday. I said what I thought to them too. I am like that. I say what I think, if others don't like it, too bad. at least they know what my feelings are...

Still I am glad you enjoyed what you did. Here fishing is just sport unless it is in the sea. The UK is too small to support people fishing for food. I watched a clip some years ago of a koi carp that had a mineral deficiency, it had to be injected, it squirmed something terrible when that needle went in, yet my brothers and my late father always used to say they are not able to feel pain... They certainly do. I can't bear to see these thoughtless man catching the same fish over and over again just for fun...

Today I went to get my feet done with the Garra Rufa fish. A truly lovely experience where the fish are doing a service for humans. I send them a lot of mental love and thank you's and came home with lovely fresh feet with skin like a babies bottom. [link] In Turkey and many other Middle Eastern countries they are known as Doctor Fish. In some places people immerse their whole bodies for treatment for psoriasis and other skin complaints. Wonderful creatures. A beautiful experience.

We ate them all. I see no reason to sport fish. You're right that is cruel. But the point was regarding getting to spend time with Mom. We were the best of friends.

I saw the clip. That looks like great fun!Over the years I have gradually regained some of the feeling back in my feet and I bet that would tickle. Thank you for showing it to me.

Perhaps it would be really good therapy for you Rose... There would be a little difficulty lifting you into the right position. The tanks cannot be moved as they have built in drainage to change the water all the time so there is no infection. I does really tickle at first but then after a few minutes it feels just lovely. To see these little creatures caring for us is just beautiful. A really connection with nature. I hope one day you will share the experience.

This is the first I've heard of this treatment. I'll keep my eyes open for that over here. Thanks Roz!

Thanks Gemma. I was sad so many of my photos are now all spotted and will have to be retouched. However I can do that and store them digitally and maybe they will last a bit longer that way.

i was sorting out some of my old ones recently as well - it is so very sad when they age but that is the beauty of digital technology nowadays - they can be repaired and retouched again
